Exchange service!

Okay so these fewer and fewer people have money these days. And frankly lets face it, money buys less and less anyway. Hence be afraid when the unions say lets get rid of inflation targeting. Honestly how much do they want to pay for a loaf of bread?

But I drift off the point here. Is it arcaic for me to think that perhaps we should consider offering services in exchange for goods, or other services? Before you say it, obviously this can't work at every instance, we still need to earn cash. But what if we offer a portion of our services in exchange for something else.

This idea was partially used by I think radiohead recently or long ago not sure. They put one of their albums on the internet and left it too people to pay what they thought would be fair value for it. From what I have been told, it worked fantastically for them. Sure some bastards would have said well I can't pay anything but I still want it and they too could download it (personally I hope their Ipod's explode). Actually I take that back, I would never punish an Ipod for someone actions! Again, I drift.

So having considered this, I thought I would give this a bash! I work as an architectural technician. With technology what it is these days, I can perform this job anywhere in South Africa, even though I am based in Port Elizabeth. So I have decided to be the guinea pig!

I will offer my services in this field to anyone out there in exchange for what they would deem fair value. For example. I have always been eyeing out an 13inch Macbook, new or second hand. So provided the job is big enough perhaps someone has one they are willing to part with in exchange for my services in the architectural field? Or perhaps you have an extension or new house plan that you need and you feel the price you have been quoted is way too high. Make me an offer for my services and provided I have the capacity, I will do the job!

Just please, no live animals, personal services, kids and or relatives!
